Make sure the Avast antivirus program is updated to the most recent version.
To access the Ransomware Shield feature, open the Avast antivirus program and select the Protection option followed by the Ransomware option.
Managing Ransomware Shield activity
Launch the Avast antivirus program.
Navigate to Protection, select the Ransomware Shield option, and click the gear-shaped or Settings icon at the upper-right end of the screen.
