  • For versions 17.0 and later, remove the AVG Antivirus software using the AVG Clear tool.
  • For versions 16.9 and earlier, you can use the AVG Remover tool for uninstalling the software.
  • Once you are done with the removal process, restart your computer and check whether you can update your operating system.

  • Go to the General tab and click OK.
  • When prompted to restart your computer, click the Restart button in the Start menu.
  • Restart your computer in normal mode.
  • Open the System Configuration window and select the Normal startup option.
  • Your Windows computer will now start working regularly.
