How to Fix Avira Antivirus Error Code 93?
The Error Code 93 is an uninstallation error and it appears when you are unable to remove the Avira antivirus program from your computer. You can follow the steps that are given below to fix the Avira Antivirus Error Code 93.
- If you are using a Windows 10 computer, press the Start menu and click the Settings icon.
- Click System followed by the Apps & Features option.
- The next window will show all the applications installed on your Windows computer. Choose the Avira antivirus software from the list and click on the Uninstall button.
- When prompted for confirmation to uninstall the software, click Yes.
- Proceed with the on-screen instructions to complete the uninstallation process.
- Restart your computer once the uninstallation process is complete.
- If you have installed any Avira browser extensions, remove them too.
- On a Google Chrome browser, go to Settings and select More tools. Then, click the Extensions option.
- If you are using the Firefox browser, click the Settings icon and select Add-ons. Then, navigate to the Puzzle section.
- Now, you can remove the Avira extensions installed on your browser.
- If you have already uninstalled the Avira Antivirus program, then the error is an indication of a failed uninstallation.
- In such cases, press the Windows and R buttons together to launch the Run dialog box.
- Type msconfig in the Search section and click the OK button.
- When the System Configuration window appears, navigate to the Boot tab.
- Checkmark the Safe Boot option and click on the OK button.

- Press the Windows and E buttons together to open the File Explorer window.
- Now, go to the following file locations and delete the avipbb.sys file.
- C:\Windows\System32\drivers
- C:\Windows\SysWOW64\drivers
- Delete all the files named avipbb and remove the Avira folder from the locations mentioned in the next step.
- If you have a Windows 64-bit OS, go to the following location.
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Avira\Antivirus
- For Windows 32-bit, go to C:\Program Files\Avira\Antivirus
- Now, launch the Run dialog box again and type msconfig.
- Select Normal Mode and click OK.
