- First, start your Windows in Safe mode. To do so, launch the Run dialog box by pressing Windows + R shortcut keys.
- Type ‘msconfig’ in the Run dialog box and hit the Enter key to launch System Configuration.
- Click the Boot tab in the window that opens and select the Safe Boot option under the Boot options section.
- Click OK and restart your computer to run in Safe mode.
- Now, open the File Explorer and delete the avipbb.sys file from the following file location.
- C:\Windows\System32\drivers (for Windows 32-bit version)
- C:\Windows\System64\drivers (for Windows 64-bit version)
- Also, remove the files with the avipbb extension from the above-mentioned file locations.
- Next, you have to Delete Avira Folder from the following file locations:
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Avira\Antivirus (for Windows 64-bit version)
- C:\Program Files\Avira\Antivirus (for Windows 32-bit version)
