• After the download is complete, open the software tool on the system to install.
• When the Baidu’s welcome window shows up on the screen, click the Install button.

• In the Scan section, you can perform three different scans, namely Quick, Full, and Custom. Select the appropriate menu to start the scan.
• Next, turn on the protection features for your computer, internet, and private information in the Protection section.

Update

• To maintain the Baidu Antivirus active all the time, you need to regularly update the software, use the steps below to continue with the update.
• Select the Gear or Settings icon on the upper right side of the Baidu Antivirus window, and the Settings window opens up.
• Select the Update menu from the left navigation pane. If you want to update the Baidu software automatically, then select the Update program and virus database automatically option, under Updates.
• Otherwise, turn off the automatic update feature by choosing the Disable auto-update option.
• In case you want to set up the proxy connection for your computer, fill in the detail in the Proxy section.
• After the settings are made, select OK to save the software tool settings.
• If you are facing any problem with the update process, select the Feedback icon beside the Settings icon in the window.
• The Customer Services menu show up on the screen, click the Upgrade Info button to get more information about the update.
