- To change the proxy settings, click the Advanced tab from Bitdefender Settings.
- Click on Proxy Change and select Custom proxy settings to change the required settings.
- If you do not have a proxy connection, launch Bitdefender and go to Settings > Advanced.
- Ensure that the Proxy server option is turned off.
- Try updating your Bitdefender software again and check if the problem has been resolved.
- If the problem persists, click the Start menu and type ‘Internet options’ in the search panel.
- From the search result, click the Internet options tab to open the Internet Properties window.
- Go to the Connections tab and click the LAN settings button.
- Deselect the Use a proxy server for your LAN checkbox and click OK.
- This will fix the Bitdefender error 2002.
