Bitdefender Restore Deleted File

Bitdefender Restore Deleted File

The Bitdefender antivirus automatically deletes infected files downloaded from untrustworthy websites. If an infected file is detected on your computer, Bitdefender disinfects the file automatically or moves the infected file directly to the quarantine area. Moreover, some antivirus software do not support data recovery options, but Bitdefender has one. On this page, we have given Bitdefender Restore Deleted File guide, and you’ll learn how to restore the deleted files using the Bitdefender antivirus

How To Restore Deleted Files?

  • The Bitdefender antivirus helps you recover a deleted file if it is corrupted. The antivirus can automatically delete the file or send it to a quarantined location. If the file is in the quarantine location, you can easily restore it.
  • Lauch the Bitdefender app on your Windows computer.
  • On the left side of the Bitdefender screen, click Protection.
  • Under the Antivirus column, click Quarantine.
  • Select the file on the Quarantine Items screen, and then click RESTORE.
  • If you don’t want the infected file, select the file and then click DELETE.

Steps To Stop Autodeletion Methods:

  • You can stop autodeletion using the file exception method; when you add your important folders or files to the exception list, Bitdefender skips the scanning process for that particular folder or file.
  • Launch the Bitdefender app on your Windows computer.
  • On the left side of the Bitdefender screen, click Access Protection.
  • Under the Antivirus option, click Open.
  • Next, click the Advanced tab and click the Bitdefender Shield toggle button to ON.
  • If the User Account Control screen prompts, click Yes.
  • Go back to the Antivirus option, click the Settings tab, and then click Manage Exceptions.
  • On the next screen, click the +Add an Exception button.
  • On the Exceptions option screen, click the folder icon to the browser and select the folder to except.
  • On the Select a file or folder to Except screen, browse and select the folder on the computer. Click OK.
  • Finally, click Save to save the changes.
  • Now, the Bitdefender antivirus stops scanning the folder, and it can’t delete the files from that folder.

Steps To Recover Deleted Files Using Third-Party App:

  • Bitdefender restores only the data from the quarantine area, but it can’t restore other deleted files from the computer. So, you can install any third-party app to recover all deleted files.
  • On the Windows computer, launch the default web browser.
  • Go to the official EaseUS data recovery website, now locate and download the EaseUS recovery software.
  • Once the EaseUS app download is complete, double-click the downloaded file to install it on the computer.
  • Launch the app; on the dashboard, select the drive you want to recover and then click Scan.
  • When the scan is complete, tick the checkbox to recover required files and then click the Recover button located at the bottom-left side of the screen.
  • Now, the Bitdefender Restore Deleted File process is done.

Hopefully, all deleted files are recovered successfully.
