Bitdefender Services Not Responding

Step 1 - System requirements

To install and use the Bitdefender 2015 application on your computer, the following factors should be met.

  • Operating System - Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, and 8.1
  • Hard disk space - 2 GB
  • Processor - 2 GHz
  • Memory (RAM) - 1 GB (Windows XP) or 1.5 GB (Windows Vista, 7, and 8)

Step 2 - Software requirements

To access all the features of the Bitdefender application, your computer must meet the following software requirements.

  • Internet Explorer 8 or higher
  • Mozilla Firefox 14 or higher
  • Chrome 20 or higher
  • Skype 6.3 or higher
  • Microsoft Outlook 2007/2010/2013
  • Mozilla Thunderbird 14 or higher

Step 3 - Uninstall other security programs

Use the respective uninstaller tools to remove the other security programs from your computer.

Step 4 - Re-install the Bitdefender program

  • Press the Win and R keys together on the keyboard.
  • Type ‘appwiz.cpl’ (without quotes) in the Open field and select OK to launch the Programs and Features window.
  • Find the Bitdefender program, select it, and click the Uninstall option.
  • Select the Reinstall option and wait until the program gets uninstalled from the computer.
  • Once you restart the computer, the Bitdefender program will be downloaded on it.
  • After downloading it, click the Install option.
  • Select the Start Using Bitdefender option and check if the error has been resolved.
  • If it persists, go to step 5.

Step 5 - Repair the Bitdefender program

  • Launch the Run dialog box and enter appwiz.cpl in the Open field.
  • Select the Bitdefender program and click Uninstall.
  • When the ‘Please choose an operation’ window opens, select the Repair option.
  • Once done with this process, restart the computer.
