Bitdefender is one of the potential antivirus software that protects your device from malware threats. If you have enabled Windows Defender or installed any other antivirus software, Bitdefender won't install on Windows 10 computer. So, try these troubleshooting steps to make Bitdefender install on your computer.
Disabling Windows Defender:
On your Windows computer, click the Start menu (Windows logo) at the bottom-left corner.
Click the Settings icon from the left side to open the Settings app.
Alternatively, you can open the Settings app by pressing the Windows + I shortcut keys.
Click on Update & Security in the Settings window.
Select the Windows Security option from the left-side panel.
Click on Virus and Threat Protection.
Scroll down the page to the Virus and Threat Protection section and click on Manage Settings.
Toggle off the Real-time protection button.
Removing third-party antivirus:
This method is applicable if you have installed any third-party antivirus program on your computer.
Open the Settings app and click the Apps tab.
Select Installed Apps and click the antivirus app that has been installed on your computer.
Click the Uninstall button to remove the antivirus.
Restart your computer and run the Bitdefender installer file.
If Bitdefender is not installing on your Windows 10 computer, go to the next step.
Unblocking Bitdefender Installer:
Go to your Downloads folder and then locate the Bitdefender installer file.
Right-click the file and select the Properties option.
