- On your Windows desktop, open the default web browser and navigate to the official Comodo site.
- Click the Download button near the Comodo Online Scanner installer file.
- Make sure to download the correct software to avoid the compatibility issues in the future.
- After downloading the installer file, go to the Downloads folder and extract the file from the zip folder.
- Give a double-click on the installer file to run the installation.
- If the User Account Control (UAC) window pops-up, click the Yes button to allow access for the app.
- Select your language from the pull-down menu and click the OK button.
- Enter your email address in the required field and click the Agree and Install button.
- Make sure you have enabled the “I want to enable ‘Cloud-Based Behavior Analysis’ of unrecognized programs by submitting them to COMODO with respect to the Privacy Policy” checkbox.
- Wait until the installation is complete.
- After completing the installation, click the Close button.
- Now, the Comodo shortcut icon will be available at the status bar.
- Click the Comodo icon to launch the software and select the Scan option.
- If prompted, select your location to detect the network.
- If it detects any risk, click the Fix It button to identify the problem using the Cloud and to repair the infected files automatically.
