How to fix Eset Error Code Act 24?

Solution 1: Reset your Winsock settings

  • In the Command Prompt window, type ‘netsh Winsock reset’ and press the Enter key. Doing so will reset the Winsock settings. It contains your computer’s configuration for Internet connectivity.

  • Verify whether the host files contain any DNS poisoned entries related to the edf.eset.com domain in the pop-up window.
  • If you detect any DNS poisoned entries, remove them from the hosts file using a text editor (Notepad/Word).
  • If the User Account Control window pops-up, click the Yes button to make changes to your computer.
  • Once you have removed the DNS poisoned entries, try to activate your ESET product again and check if the problem has been resolved.
