  • On your Windows computer, click the Start menu available at the bottom-left corner of the screen. 
  • Type 'regedit' in the search panel and press the Enter key to launch the Registry Editor window.
  • Navigate to the left-side panel of the Registry Editor window and select HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE  SOFTWARE  KasperskyLab.
  • Give a right-click on the LicStrg folder and select the Export option.
  • In the pop-up window, choose any location and enter a name for your backup. Click Save to save your registry and close the Registry Editor window.
  • Now, your Kaspersky license key has been backed up.
  • To restore your license key, open Windows Explorer and navigate to the location where you have saved the backup file.
  • Double-click on the backup registry file and click Yes. Click OK to confirm your action.
  • After restoring the license key, download the Kaspersky software on your computer.
  • Locate the installer package and double-click the setup file to begin the installation process.
  • Carry out the on-screen prompts and complete the installation.
  • Once completed, your Kaspersky software will be activated automatically.
  • To view your license key, launch the Kaspersky software and click on License available at the Kaspersky dashboard's bottom-right corner.
  • Click on the License information link to know your license key details.
