- Port3 is the physical interface to be used with your Sophos XG Firewall.
- WAN is the zone that the interface belongs to.
- Since we have enabled DHCP on the computer, select DHCP as the type of IP address assignment.
- Enter the gateway name through which the traffic would be routed (replace WAN_GW with your gateway name).
- If you wish to configure a static WAN interface, disable DHCP on your computer and then enter the following parameters on the setup screen.
- Physical Interface: Port3
- IP Address/Netmask: type in the IP address and subnet mask for your interface
- Gateway IP: IPv4 address through which the traffic is routed.
- Once configured, click the Save Changes button to save the applied changes.
- Next, go to the Sophos welcome screen and click the Register Device button to register your firewall.
- Once completed, click the Synchronize License button to initiate the synchronization and activate your firewall.
