- On your Windows computer, close all the running programs and launch the Bitdefender Endpoint Security Tools program by double-clicking its shortcut icon on the desktop.
- You have to disable the Tamper Protection feature in Bitdefender Endpoint Security Tools that is preventing the users from disabling the program.
- In general, this protection is enabled by default so that the program cannot be disabled or deleted by malicious software.
- Navigate to the left-side panel and click the Protection tab.
- Click on Settings in the Antivirus module and turn off Bitdefender Shield in the Shield section.
- When prompted, choose how long you wish to disable the protection from the drop-down menu.
- If you wish to permanently disable the module, select the Permanently option from the drop-down menu.
- Go to the Drives and Devices tab, click the Scan mapped network drives button, and select Disabled.
- In the Online Threat Prevention module, click the Settings button and toggle off the protection features in the Web Protection tab.
- Also, you have to disable the Network Threat Prevention feature.
- Next, go to the Protection Features screen and toggle off the following options to disable Bitdefender Endpoint Security Tools.
