Requirements to reinstall Webroot:

  • A keycode is a string of 20 alphanumeric characters that identifies your webroot account, which you have received through email or inside Webroot's retail box.
  • If you have bought the multi-user license, you can use the same keycode for 3 to 5 devices.

To find your Webroot receipt and download instructions, you can search it in your email inbox as "Webroot Product Receipt." It can be used to reinstall Webroot software or install it on additional devices.

Installation can be done in two ways:

  • Using the installation CD
  • Using the downloaded installer

Steps for CD installation:

If you have purchased the installation CD, then reinstalling Webroot is too simple.

  • Insert the CD into the CD drive on your computer.
  • An installation dialogue box will open. Click a link to start the installation process.
  • Follow the prompts displayed on the installation wizard.

Steps to install using the installer:

If you have purchased Webroot from the official site, then you would have received the download link in your registered email address. Otherwise, you can download a copy of Webroot SecureAnywhere from the official Webroot site.

  • Now, navigate to the downloaded file and double-click the installer to begin the installation.
  • ClickRUN to start.
  • When the dialog box displays, enter the keycode and then click Agree and Install to start the installation.
  • If prompted, enter the email id and click Continue.
  • If you have changed your device and changed your email, it will not work. So, try the email ID you used while purchasing Webroot.
  • Once the installation is completed and Webroot is activated, close the installation window.
  • To check if SecureAnywhere is running, see whether the Webroot icon is visible on the System Tray.
