If you wish to remove the quarantined files from Symantec Endpoint, carry out the instructions given here:

  • First, log into the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager console.
  • Click the Monitors tab from the left pane.
  • At the top of the right pane, you can see the Logs tab; click on it.
  • From the drop-down menu provided beside the Log type field, choose the Risk option.
  • From the drop-down menu next to the Time range field, select the desired time range. By default, the time range will be Past 24 hours.
  • It is now time to click on the Advanced Settings option located at the lower-left corner of the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager console.
  • Beside the Action Taken field, select the Quarantined option to continue with the steps to remove the quarantined files from Symantec Endpoint.
  • Turn your attention to the View Log button and click on it.
  • You will now find a list of quarantined items getting displayed in a new window known as Risk Logs.
  • In the Risk Logs window, choose the items that you wish to remove.
  • The next step will be to go to the drop-down menu located beside the Action field. From this menu, select the Delete from Quarantine option.
  • Finally, click on the Start button located at the top of the Risk Logs window.
  • You can now highlight the item you want to delete. Then, confirm the deletion process. This action will delete or remove the chosen risks from the Quarantine folder in Symantec Endpoint.
