Safe finder is an unwanted program that changes the homepage of a browser to a different web address such as search.safefinder.com and also slows down your browser. So, how to remove safe finder from Safari 2019? For this, you need to reset the homepage to its default state.
Remove Safe Finder from Safari:
- On your device, launch the Safari web browser.
- Click on the Safari menu at the left-upper corner of the screen.
- Choose Preferences in the drop-down list.
- On the next screen, click Extensions.
- Search for any unwanted malicious extensions.
- If you find any unwanted extensions, click the Uninstall button next to it.
- The extensions will be safely removed from your Safari browser.
- You can now change the homepage by selecting the General tab in the Preferences window.
- Type your preferred website URL in the Homepage field.
- To change the default search engine, the steps are given as follows:
- Select the Search tab in the Preferences window.
- Select your preferred search engine from the drop-down list.
- Now the Search engine is set as default.
- You can clear the cache by following the below given steps.
- From the menu bar, click Safari.
- Choose Clear History from the available options.
- Select All History from the drop-down menu under Clear.
- Confirm to Clear History by clicking on it.
