How To Restore Quarantined Files Kaspersky?

When the Kaspersky Internet Security tool detects a malware-infected file, it tries to disinfect it. If it cannot disinfect the file, it moves the file to the quarantine area where it is isolated from the other healthy files. Restore Quarantined file

  • On the desktop, click the Kaspersky icon on the system tray.
  • When the Kaspersky Internet Security program launches on the computer, click the More Tools button at the bottom.
  • Select Quarantine from the left panel. Now, the Quarantine screen will appear.
  • You can view the list of quarantined files on the screen.
  • Now, right-click the file you want to restore and select Restore.

Before you quarantine infected files, turn off the option automatic deletion of infected files. Otherwise, the files will be deleted once they are detected.

Disable automatic deletion

  • On the Kaspersky main interface, click the Gear icon at the lower-left corner to go to the Settings screen.
  • Select the General tab, untick the checkbox of ‘Perform recommended actions automatically’ below Interactive protection.

You can set the Kaspersky program to perform the disinfect action while detecting an infected file using the below-mentioned steps.

  • Open the Kaspersky tool and then click the Gear icon to view the Settings screen.
  • Click the Scan tab from the left panel and select Disinfect in the Action on threat detection drop-down menu.
  • Return to the Settings screen, then select Protection.
  • Select the components File Anti-Virus and Mail Anti-Virus one by one and set the Action on threat detection to Disinfect or Block.
  • Next, select Web Anti-Virus and choose Block in the Action on threat detection menu.
  • Select System Watcher, go to the Application Privilege Control section, and choose the Terminate the malware menu.
