We install and make use of Antivirus software on our computers so that we can detect and get rid of any virus or other malicious software that can penetrate the systems. However, sometimes, these Antivirus programs might affect the other necessary software on our systems. For instance, some of the Antivirus programs, with their firewalls enabled, might intercept the Outlook traffic on our systems. A few of them might even go to the extent of blocking our Outlook mails. Many users have reported this type of issue with their Kaspersky Endpoint Security program.
In such situations, if you add an exception for Outlook on your Kaspersky Endpoint Security, you can resolve the Kaspersky Blocking Outlook Emails issue. Let us now do the same by following the instructions given here:
Important Note: The following steps will apply for Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows.
- From the left pane, choose the Anti-Virus protection option.
- From the main window, under the title Exclusions and trusted applications, click on the Settings button.
- You will then see the Trusted zone window pops up. In this window, click the Trusted applications tab. Then, click on the Add button.
- Next, the Select application window will open up. In the window, in the text box provided opposite to the Select application from the list option, type outlook. Then, click on the OK button.
- Now, the Exclusions for application window appears. In the window, select the checkbox next to the Do not scan network traffic option. Click on the OK button.
- Click any of the remote ports and type in 443. Then, click on the OK button.
- Now, you will be taken back to the main window of Kaspersky Endpoint Security. In this window, click on the Save button to save all the changed settings.
- From now onwards, Kaspersky will not block any of your Outlook emails. Instead, it will start allowing them.
