Kaspersky Cannot Update The Database

Updating your Kaspersky database is very important as outdated software will cause you trouble by stopping your program and not responding correctly. So try updating your antivirus manually and keep an eye on its updates. Is there any problem with updating the Kaspersky database? Don't worry. It is one of the frequent errors, and let us fix the Kaspersky Cannot Update The Databaseproblem by simple and easy steps.

Steps to solve the issue of Kaspersky cannot update the database:

Check the Date on your PC:

Date issues play a vital role in updating the program or installing a piece of software. Sometimes, if your PC has a date that is farther than the date of the last update of the software, the application would compare the date and fail to update the Kaspersky database. So make sure you change the date to the current day and try updating your Kaspersky database.

Check the software proxy settings

  • Misconfiguring the proxy server settings can be another major reason for you not being able to update the Kaspersky database.
  • Make sure your PC is connected to the Internet.
  • Open Kaspersky antivirus software on your PC.
  • Go to Settings and choose the Additional settings option.
  • Click on the Network settings option and select the Proxy server settings option from the bottom of the page.
  • Your desktop will pop up with the proxy server settings page. Ensure the Automatically detect proxy server settings option from the list is activated, which will update the server settings from the Windows native browser; then click Save.

Disable the battery-saving mode:

  • Open Kaspersky software on your PC and select Settings.
  • Choose Performance from the list and make sure the battery-saving mode is disabled. If not, disable the battery saving mode and click Save.
  • Now try updating your Kaspersky database and make sure it works.

Check the user account settings:

  • Open Kaspersky software on your PC and select Settings.
  • Choose Additional settings and select the Update settings option.
  • Select Configure user account settings on the update settings page.
  • Make sure you select the Run update tasks as Current user option and click Save.
