Both Kaspersky Antivirus and Windows Defender are antivirus programs to fight potential malware threats on your computer. If you run both the programs simultaneously, Kaspersky conflict with Windows Defender. However, you can use Kaspersky as well as Windows Defender at the same time on Windows 7. If you are using Windows 10 and getting problems running Kaspersky due to Windows Defender, keep reading the instructions below to disable it.
Disabling Windows Defender using Windows Security:
On your Windows 10 computer, click the Start menu (Windows logo) at the bottom-left corner of the desktop.
Navigate to the bottom-left corner in the pop-up menu and click the Settings icon to open Windows Settings.
Alternatively, press Windows + I to launch Windows Settings.
Double-click the Update & Security tab in the Settings window and select Windows Security from the left-side panel.
In the Windows Security window, click on Virus & threat protection from the left-side panel.
