Kaspersky Password Manager Chrome

Kaspersky password manager is an extension that ensures that all your sensitive contents are encrypted inside its password vault. This extension is available for different browsers, including the Google Chrome browser. The below section explains how to install the Kaspersky password manager in Chrome and use it.Initially, you have to connect to the Kaspersky application to the My Kaspersky portal. To do so, you need valid Kaspersky account credentials. If you haven’t created your own Kaspersky account, create it and then continue the following instructions.

Connecting to My Kaspersky portal

  • Access the My Kaspersky portal connection window.
  • In the prompted fields, type your Kaspersky account credentials, such as e-mail address and password.
  • Click on the Sign-in button.

Once you have connected the application to the portal, install the Kaspersky password manager extension in Chrome.

Installing the extension

  • Initially, make sure that the Google Chrome browser is closed on your computer.
  • On the Kaspersky application screen, select the Chrome option.
  • Now, all the details stored on the Chrome browser are automatically imported to the Kaspersky password vault.
  • To cancel the import process, click on the Do not import passwords option when prompted. 
  • Click on the Continue button to finish the Kaspersky password manager extension installation in Chrome. 

You may encounter an issue if you have disabled the autosave, autofill, and login & password features in Chrome.

To enable these features, follow the below instructions.

  • On your computer, open the Kaspersky Password Manager extension.
  • If prompted, type the password in the given field and access the extension’s menu section.

Select Settings > Browsers > Accessibility > Kaspersky Password Manager > OK > Draw over other apps. If you wish, you can also sign in to the Google Chrome browser using the Kaspersky password manager extension.
