Why Kaspersky Scan Stuck At 99?

Kaspersky is award-winning security software that provides real-time protection for your computer and data stored on it. It has three scan modes namely quick scan, full scan, and selective scan. Running a scan operation using Kaspersky is quite simple and easy to perform. But, at the same time, errors do occur while scanning. One such issue is “ Kaspersky scan stuck at 99.” Mostly, the scan gets stuck in the following applications: Kaspersky Security Cloud, Kaspersky Internet Security, Kaspersky Anti-Virus, Kaspersky Total Security, or Kaspersky Small Office security.

  • The computer doesn’t meet the system requirements of the Kaspersky application.
  • iChecker or iSwift technologies of the Kaspersky application is disabled.

To clear this error, perform the quick troubleshooting instructions given below.

Step 1: Satisfy the Kaspersky application requirement

  • As soon as you see the Kaspersky scan stuck at 99, check whether your computer hardware meets the system requirement of the application.
  • You can check the system requirements on the Downloads page of the corresponding Kaspersky application.

Step 2: Disable iChecker or iSwift

If you encounter this issue and your computer meets the system requirement of Kaspersky, then check whether the iChecker or iSwift technologies are enabled. If yes, disable it. To check and disable them, follow the below instructions.

  • Close and relaunch the Kaspersky application. On the main screen, click on the Scan option.
  • Go to the Quick Scan section and click on the Gear icon beside it.
  • Choose the Advanced settings option.
  • Go to the Scan technologies section.
  • Check whether the checkbox beside the iSwift Technology and iChecker Technology options are selected.
  • If not, select them and click on the Save button.
