Mcafee Blocking Google Chrome

If your McAfee software is blocking the Google Chrome application, it might happen when the McAfee software wrongly concludes Google Chrome to be an intruder on your computer. Update McAfee

When the McAfee software turns outdated, it will start to create some issues. In that case, update the software to the latest version; you can get the updated version from the McAfee official support page.

Once you have updated the software, check whether you can access Google Chrome. Also, make sure that you have installed all the live updates of the McAfee antivirus program. If you cannot resolve the issue yet, go to the next step.

Give full access

If the McAfee antivirus software restricts Google Chrome, you need to change the permissions.
On your computer, launch the McAfee antivirus software and click on the Firewall tab followed by Settings.
Then, click on the Program Permissions tab and locate the Google Chrome app from the list.

Choose Google Chrome and click on the Edit option; then, click on the arrow button. Expand the Menu option and select the Full option (so that Google Chrome can get complete access). Finally, click on the Apply button.

Reset Firewall

You can also resolve the issue by resetting the Firewall settings. Launch the McAfee software on your computer and click on the Firewall button followed by the Firewall settings.

Locate the Reset Firewall button at the top of the page and click on it.
