Norton Family is a product from Norton that helps you to monitor and supervise all your kid’s activities online. You can also set online time limits using this application. The chance for an error/issue to occur in Norton Family is less. But, some users have encountered an issue with it.

Issue 1: When access to a device is restricted during allowed hours

Solution: Lock and Unlock the device

• First, sign in to your Norton account.
• Choose the child profile.
• Click the Lock Child’s Devices option.
• Now, the Instant Lock window will open up.
• Click Lock in it.
• Now, your child profile has been locked.

To unlock it, click Unlock Child’s Devices > Unlock.

Issue 2: Norton Family not monitoring the web browsing activities

Solution: Enable the Norton Family add-on

Based on the web browser you’re using, the options and menus might change.

• Open the default web browser on your computer.
• For Firefox: Click Open Menu > Add-ons. Go to the Extensions tab. Click the Norton Family option and enable its extension. Now, restart the Firefox browser.
• For Google Chrome: Click Customize and control Google Chrome > Settings > Extension. Enable the Norton Family extension. Restart the browser.
