Step 1: Virus removal

  • Initially, make sure that you have signed in to your Windows computer with the admin rights.
  • Open the Command Prompt application.
  • In the CMD window, type –h -r –s /s/d g:\*.* and tap or press the Enter button on your computer’s keyboard. (Note: In the above command, replace “g” with the drive that contains the virus-infected file.)
  • Once the above command is executed successfully via CMD, restart your Windows computer if prompted.
  • After restarting the computer, you can perform the data recovery process.

Step 2: Recover lost data

  • Download and install the EaseUS Data Recovery software on your computer.
  • Open the data recovery software.
  • Choose the drive that had the lost file.
  • Click on the Scan button.
  • If prompted, choose the scan preferences of your desire.

  • Choose the file that you want and click on the Recover button. If required, you can preview the file before recovering it.
