The instructions to configure the McAfee firewall settings are given below.
- Go to the Windows system tray, search for the McAfee icon, and double-click it.
- Now, the main interface of the McAfee program will appear on the screen.
- On the main window, perform any one of the following steps.
- Step 1 :Click Firewall and select the Settings option on the right-hand side.
- Step 2 :Go to the Features section and select the Web and Email protection option followed by the Firewall option.
- Once done, select the Internet Connections for Programs in the Firewall window.
- Click either the Add or Edit option.
- Make sure that both CTI Navigator and CTI Update Manager are not outbound-Only Access.
- If any problem arises while using CTI Navigator, turn off the Net-Guard feature.
How To Disable Mcafee When Expired ?
The McAfee firewall offers adequate protection against all kinds of viruses and malware. Once the subscription period is over, you can disable the McAfee firewall feature manually instead of deleting the McAfee program.
- Hold the Win and Q keys at the same time on the keyboard, type ‘McAfee’ without including the single quotes in the search bar, and press the Enter key.
- The main interface of the McAfee program will display on the screen.
- Click the Virus and Spyware Protection option, go to the Real-Time Scanning feature, and select the Turn Off option.
- Choose any one of the following times from the Turn Off pop-up menu.
- 15 minutes
- 30 minutes
- 45 minutes
- 60 minutes
- Never
- Click the Turn Off option followed by the Done option.
- Go back to the main window of the McAfee program, navigate to the Web and Email Protection section, and select the Turn Off option.
- Also, set a time until when you want to disable the Web and Email Protection feature.
- Finally, select the Turn Off option again. Once done, click the Done option.
