What is Webroot Password Manager?

The Webroot SecureAnywhere program has a built-in Password Manager feature. This feature helps to remember your user names and passwords automatically. Also, this Webroot Password Manager feature helps to safeguard your data from hackers by encrypting them.

  • Stores login credentials and auto-fills the login fields.
  • Generates a secure password.

Configuring the Password Manager feature

  • Double-click the Webroot icon on the home screen of your computer. This opens the main interface of the Webroot SecureAnywhere program on the screen.
  • Click the Identity & Privacy tab in the left panel.
  • In the main panel, navigate to the Password Management tab and select the Download and Install option.
  • After downloading it, click the Manage My Identity button.
  • Now, you can access the SecureAnywhere account.
  • Note: If you have not created the account yet, click the Sign up now button and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Navigate to the Home tab, go to the Passwords section, and click the Set Up Account Now button.
  • Once done with the configuration, you will see the Webroot icon in the web browser’s toolbar.

Accessing Password Manager (Web browser)

  • Launch the Internet Explorer or Firefox web browser on your computer.
  • Navigate to the toolbar and click the Webroot icon.
  • Type the SecureAnywhere account’s email address and password in the Email and Password fields respectively and then click Sign in.
  • Navigate to the Webroot drop-down menu and from here, you can access the Passwords menu.
  • You can even access passwords from your online account, Android mobile device, or Apple mobile device.

Using any other web browsers

  • If you wish to use any other web browser instead of Internet Explorer and Firefox, you have to create Bookmarklets for enabling the Password Manager functions. To do this, perform the following instructions.
  • Open the Safari, Chrome, Opera, or any other web browser on the computer.
  • Access the Webroot SecureAnywhere account using its email address and password.
  • Click the ‘Go to Passwords’ option and select the Install Bookmarklets option.
  • Select your web browser and proceed with the on-screen prompts to create the Bookmarklets.
